Remember the old adage: “Never work with animals or children”? Well in the second of my collaborative tutorials with Claudio Franco Pires at UX Scotland we gave a high-level over view of how to successfully conduct user research and testing with children.
This year at UX Scotland 2014 I had the pleasure of collaborating on two tutorials with the fabulous Claudio Pires Franco, Senior Research Manager – Games and Media for Dubit. The first of our tutorials was based on a subject close to Claudio’s heart: UX for Gamer Acquisition, Retention and Conversion.

Last Monday we were lucky to have a delegation from China visit the Creative Exchange which included representatives from the Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce and the Zhong-Guan-Cun Digital Content Industries Association (DCIA). We were invited to a round table discussion with 6 other Edinburgh-based creative digital companies: SME Professional, MyDex, Elevate You, Dave Sapien Ltd/Me and the giants, Anarkik 3D and HeeHaw Digital.
